Forres Golf Club

Forres Golf Club is an 18-hole, par-70 parkland course in Forres, Scotland, designed by James Braid and Willie Park and opened in 1889. The layout runs through mature woodland with tree-lined fairways, elevated tees, and elevation changes throughout. Strategic bunkers add to the positioning demands, and hole 16 brings a memorable approach played over the Pond. The course operates on a semi-private basis and has hosted The Forres 5 Day Open. Practice facilities include a full driving range, putting green, and dedicated short game areas. The David Torrance Golf Academy delivers group and individual tuition, with a state-of-the-art golf simulator added in 2024. The pro shop covers equipment, apparel, accessories, and trolleys, with custom fitting and visitor check-in available. The Muiry restaurant sits above the 18th hole with panoramic course views, serving freshly prepared seasonal specials and clubhouse favourites, open to all including walkers, cyclists, and campervan guests. The Muiry bar offers local pours alongside terrace views.
