Hencse National Golf & Country Club opened in 1994 in the hilly countryside of Hencse, Somogy County, about 80 km south of Lake Balaton. Set within a nature reserve, the 18-hole course stretches across 90 hectares with a total length of 6,267 metres. The layout features beautiful lakes and ancient trees, while the rolling terrain offers a genuine challenge for golfers who enjoy a more adventurous round. The course has earned international recognition, drawing visitors regularly from Austria, Germany, and Finland, as well as from the United States and Japan.

Once I arrived, I was greeted very hospitably and received all the information I needed and more. You can't see it from the clubhouse but this course is massive! I recommend renting a cart if you intend to play there. Once I got to the driving range (1500m from clubhouse) I was amatzed. You can practice with 40 maybe 50 people at the same time easily. Of to the first tee. I'm not going to speak much about the course because you have to experience it for yourself. All I can say is that it is amongst the more beautifull courses I've played and you wont be let down. Its just marvelous.
