Green Oaks Country Club

Hole 15 at Green Oaks Country Club is one of the more distinctive holes in Pennsylvania: a narrow dogleg right with the famous Green Oaks tree standing in the middle of the fairway, forcing a decision off every tee. Designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1914, this private 18-hole course in Penn Hills, Pennsylvania plays to a par of 71 from yardages ranging 406–563 yards off the blue tees. Rolling hills, elevation changes, strategic bunkering, and slick sloping greens define the layout. The club hosted a 1982 U.S. Open Qualifier. Practice facilities include two putting greens, a short game area where shots can be hit from 50 yards to a green surrounded by two bunkers, a chipping green, and private instruction from PGA certified instructors. The clubhouse restaurant serves indoor and outdoor dining Wednesday through Sunday, 12pm–7pm. The club also runs member events and a ladies golf association league.
