Golfclub Schloss Breitenburg

Golfclub Schloss Breitenburg, designed by Gerd Olaf Osterkamp and David Krause and opened in 1990, spreads across 27 holes in Breitenburg, Schleswig-Holstein, Germany. The layout moves through three distinct terrain types: Geest with avenues, knicks and gentle hills; Marsch sections laced with water hazards; and Breitenburger Moor with typical ditches. The Breitenburger Kanal, a navigable canal, also comes into play. Holes 6 and 13 carry a direct view of Schloss Breitenburg, and hole 26 plays to an island green. The course is semi-private and rated 4.7 by 70+ Hole19 golfers. Practice facilities include a driving range with approximately 50 tee positions (10 covered) and flags at various distances, a second putting green, and a pitching green with bunkers. Lessons are available from pros using video analysis and group training. The pro shop rents clubs by advance order. Comfortable rooms in the old manor house are available on site.
