Golfclub Burg Overbach opened in 1985 on 84 hectares at the edge of Much, North Rhine-Westphalia, built around a medieval castle in the rolling landscape of the Bergisches Land. The 18-hole layout plays across gently undulating fairways shaped by natural terrain, with ponds and streams forming genuine water hazards throughout the round. From several points on the course, views extend over Much and across the Bergisches Land as far as the Siebengebirge. The course stretches from 5,276 m off the ladies' tees to 6,237 m from the championship tees. Sixty-nine well-placed bunkers and fast, contoured greens keep every round honest, while wide fairways give players room to work with.
