Golf & Landclub Karwendel

Golf & Landclub Karwendel is an 18-hole course set along the wild Isar river in Wallgau, Bavaria, with panoramic views of the Karwendel mountains to the east, the Wetterstein massif and Zugspitze to the southwest, and the Estergebirge to the northwest. The course occupies a former riverbed, which gives it a naturally flat, largely tree-free character. Designer Heinz Fehring worked the three river terraces left by Isar floodplains into the routing of the fairways, lending the layout a distinctly Scottish feel. The natural obstacles golfers encounter today were shaped by the river over thousands of years. The surrounding village of Wallgau, known for its traditional Lüftlmalerei façade paintings, adds to the relaxed, harmonious atmosphere that defines a round here.
