Description
Golf de Mont-de-Marsan holds the Biodiversité golf label and a "sportif" certification awarded in May 2015, two distinctions that set it apart among public courses in the region. The 18-hole layout in Saint-Avit, Nouvelle-Aquitaine, France runs through forest and alongside a stream, giving the round a natural, wooded character throughout its routing. Practice is well covered: a driving range with 25 stations — 9 covered, the rest on grass — plus a dedicated short-game area with a green and bunkers. Two qualified instructors, Julien Briones and Jean-Marie Candau, are on hand for lessons. The pro shop stocks technical clothing and golf footwear. The clubhouse, set in a converted Landes farmhouse with its sheepfold and bakehouse, includes a bar and restaurant (closed Wednesdays) and a lounge with a TV screen. The course is a popular round among Hole19 golfers in Nouvelle-Aquitaine.
