Description
Golf Club Lignano is an 18-hole parkland course in Friuli-Venezia Giulia, Italy, designed by Marco Croze. The layout moves through pine forest broken up by lakes, ponds, and sand areas, giving each hole a distinct character without relying on elevation change. The course has hosted the Women's Italian Open in 1993 and 1994, the PGA Champions Trophy of Europe in 2008, the Alps Tour Servizitalia Open in 2012 and 2015, and the Lignano Open in 2017. It is rated 4.5 by 100+ Hole19 golfers and operates on a semi-private basis. Practice facilities include nine covered driving range bays and more than 50 grass tees, two putting greens each measuring over 700 square metres, and a dedicated pitching green. The Golf Sport Academy is run by Thomas Feyrsinger, a professional with more than 10,000 coaching hours. The Al Golf Restaurant serves Italian cuisine built around fresh fish, seasonal produce, and local dishes.

Leo HuwylerOctober 02, 2023Der Platz ist anforderungsreich und abwechslungsreich. Oft kommt Wasser ins Spiel. Die Fairways sind breit und gepflegt, die Grüns wenig hängend und onduliert. Insgesamt einer der schönsten Golfplätze Italiens.
