Golf Club Esery (Champs des Combes)

Golf Club Esery (Champs des Combes), designed by Michel Gayon and opened in 1991, is a 9-hole, par-30 semi-private course in Reignier-Esery, Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, France. Classified among the best golf courses in the region, it plays to approximately 1,850 metres across terrain shaped by slopes, dog-legs, a pond, bunkers, and sloped greens. Hole 6 is a standout: a 180-metre tee shot from the yellows leads into a descending dog-leg, with the green protected by a long bunker. Practice facilities include a driving range with 30 stations (15 covered), a putting green, two training bunkers with dedicated short-game zones, and five qualified pros available for individual or group lessons. The pro shop is closed on Mondays. The Château de Sacconay serves as the clubhouse, restored to welcome players in a refined setting. The restaurant offers a gourmet table accessible year-round to golfers and visitors, and the bar provides a panoramic lounge space.
