Golf Club de Sierre

Golf Club de Sierre offers an 18-hole layout known as the Parcours de la Brèche, spread across 55 hectares near Granges in the Valais region of Switzerland. The course is framed by the Rhône dike to the north, the village of Granges to the east, the cantonal road between Sion and Grône to the south, and the protected natural zone of Pouta-Fontana to the west. This setting shaped the design process: architects Maurice Bembridge and Michel Zufferey drew up the first nine holes, while Alain Dehaye and Jean-Claude Renggli handled the extension. Both teams worked closely with cantonal authorities and ecological associations to deliver a course that respects the local flora, fauna, and the various groups — anglers, divers, and walkers — who frequent the shores of the Brèche and Corne lakes. Each hole carries its own character, whether through views of the Alps and surrounding resorts, a varied mix of trees and wildflowers, or the wildlife found in and around the water.
