Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club

Fukuoka Lakeside Country Club is a 36-hole hillside layout in Iizuka, Fukuoka Prefecture, Japan. The terrain is largely flat, with only gentle undulation throughout — the notable exception being the 7th hole, which plays as an 18-metre downhill tee shot. True to its name, 12 of the 36 holes feature water. Lakes appear in front of tees, alongside fairways, and around greens, making them both scenic and demanding. Holes 10, 17, and 18 are particularly testing, connected by three linked ponds — a sequence that demands careful club and shot selection. Green surrounds are generally forgiving, but the greens themselves carry significant undulation, so reading the putting surface carefully is essential.
