Fujizakura Country Club

Fujizakura Country Club sits at 1,000 metres elevation on the northern foothills of Mount Fuji in Fujikawaguchiko, Yamanashi Prefecture, with views of the mountain from nearly every hole across its 18-hole layout. Despite its location within the popular Fuji Five Lakes resort area, the course occupies the quiet Fujizakura Highlands, well removed from the surrounding bustle. The seasons shape the experience here: cherry blossoms open the spring, summer average temperatures stay around 23°C, and autumn brings rich foliage colour to the course. Playing conditions are comfortable well into the warmer months. The course hosts the Fujisankei Classic, and the tournament tees stretch to 7,437 yards at par 71. The back tees measure 6,707 yards at par 72. Distance aside, the challenge lies in the rough — short but difficult to escape — and particularly in the greens and their surrounds, which demand precision at every approach.
