Fuji Lakeside Country Club

Fuji Lakeside Country Club, a semi-private 36-hole course in Narusawa, Yamanashi Prefecture, Japan, has hosted pro tournaments and plays across terrain that drops and climbs throughout its layout. Hole 1 sets the tone immediately: a par 4 with a drop of approximately 40 metres, played toward Lake Kawaguchi with Mount Fuji and the clubhouse behind you. Hole 10 runs in the opposite direction, laid out so that it appears to drive straight toward Mount Fuji head-on. The pro shop stocks golf equipment from accessories to apparel, alongside local produce, sake, rice, and meat. The restaurant looks out over Mount Fuji from every table and is open from the start of play until 16:30, except in August. Pro lessons are available on the practice range at 3,300 yen for 30 minutes or 6,600 yen for 60 minutes, with round lessons also on offer.
