Fredericksburg Country Club

Fredericksburg Country Club is a private 18-hole club in Fredericksburg, Virginia, designed by James Gilmore Harrison and opened in 1927. The club's competitive calendar includes the Club Championships, Gentlemen's '1925' Member-Guest Invitational, Member-Member Championship, President's Cup, and Couples' Championship. Practice facilities are extensive. A full-length driving range uses the FLAGD Golf smart target system with target greens and multiple yardage markers. A large, contoured putting green is maintained to the same conditions as the course greens. A dedicated short game area covers shots up to 50 yards to a regulation-size green, with two practice bunkers filled with premium Kinloch grade sand. Instruction is led by Head Golf Professional Sam Thomas PGA and includes private lessons, group programs, on-course playing lessons, junior and ladies clinics, and custom equipment evaluation using FlightScope technology. The Golf Shop carries brands including Peter Millar, G/Fore, FootJoy, Linksoul, and Johnnie-O. The Smithfield Bar & Grill and Rappahannock Room serve as gathering spaces for members and families.
