Fox Hills Golf Course - Watford City Golf is an 18-hole layout in western North Dakota, designed to blend naturally into the native prairie landscape with a distinct links character. The course winds through open prairie and along the banks of Cherry Creek, with water in play on seven holes. Wide fairways reward strategic positioning and offer some forgiveness against the ever-present winds. Large greens feature contours that put a premium on hitting the correct quadrant, while deep sand bunkers with wood bulkheads — inspired by links courses of Ireland and Great Britain — are built to hold their shape in the wind. A good mix of uphill and downhill holes adds variety across the round, and five sets of tees, named after regional landmarks such as the Long X ox-cart trail and the North Dakota Badlands, make the course accessible to golfers of all abilities. Fox Hills also hosts a busy tournament schedule, drawing players from well beyond the local area.
