Elmira Country Club

Elmira Country Club, a private 18-hole course in West Elmira, New York, carries one of the longer design histories in the region. Willie Dunn laid the original groundwork when the club opened in 1897, with A.W. Tillinghast and Ferdinand Garvin contributing to the layout over time. The course plays to par 72 at 6,692 yards. The club has hosted the New York State Amateur Tournament four times — in 1957, 1983, 1997, and 2012 — and has also held the New York State Mid-Amateur. The clubhouse includes a formal dining room, family dining rooms, and a casual dining area, along with a men's bar and lounge, men's and women's locker rooms, a state-of-the-art workout center, a ballroom seating up to 400, and men's and women's card rooms.
