Douglas Golf Club

Douglas Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal course in Douglas, Isle of Man, that has grown into a well-regarded and popular venue despite years of major development work. The layout opens with a challenging first three holes where par is always a bonus, before holes 6 through 9 reward players with fine views across the surrounding landscape. The round then drops down into Spring Valley and works its way back to a tough finish. Some of the Mackenzie-style greens survive — most notably the second and fifth — lending the course a touch of classic character. The 17th is a standout hole, a downhill par covering around 200 yards, while the 18th finishes in front of the clubhouse, where a comprehensive menu rounds off the visit. Douglas offers realistic green fees across all golfer categories, making it an accessible and genuinely challenging round on the Isle of Man.
