Discovery Bay Golf Club

Discovery Bay Golf Club sits on a mountain above the upscale community of Discovery Bay on Lantau Island, Hong Kong, within 25 minutes of the Central financial district, 10 minutes from Hong Kong Disneyland, and 20 minutes from the international airport. The club offers 36 holes across three nine-hole layouts — the Diamond, Jade, and Ruby nines. The original 18-hole course was designed by Robert Trent Jones Jr. and opened in 1983, with a third nine added in June 1992. Mountainous terrain throughout demands accuracy and confidence from all skill levels. The Diamond nine is considered the toughest, with dramatic elevation changes and fast, undulating greens. The Ruby nine is more forgiving off the tee and reaches higher elevations with wide views across the terrain. The Jade nine features sharp dogleg holes and more water than the other two layouts. All three nines play on Tif Eagle greens.
