Hole 16 at Country Club of Asheville was once the longest hole in North Carolina — a 600-yard, true three-shot par that still anchors a Donald Ross layout opened in 1928 in Asheville, North Carolina. The 18-hole, par-71 course stretches to 6,638 yards across a vertical mountain layout, with uphill and downhill shots throughout and bent grass greens and fairways. It earned a place on the North Carolina Golf Panel's Top 100 rankings list in 2023. This private club supports play with a 25-tee driving range, dedicated putting and chipping greens, and a PGA professional staff offering private lessons, group instruction, camps, and clinics. The clubhouse includes the Donald Ross Dining Room for classics, the Reynolds Room for upscale formal dining, and a 1,200-square-foot veranda for al fresco dining.
