Champion Lakes Golf Course

Champion Lakes Golf Course has hosted the McAllen Amateur Golf Championship, the VAMOS Golf Tournament, and the LPGA Futures Tour — a range of events that reflects the course's standing in McAllen, Texas. Designed by Charles Howard and opened in 2000, the 18-hole, par-72 layout plays from 4,752 to 6,748 yards across rolling fairways, man-made lakes, and mounds in a links-style atmosphere. Hole19 golfers rate it 4.4 and it ranks as one of the most-played courses in Texas on Hole19. The public course comes with a lighted driving range open until 10:00 pm, dual-ended hitting areas, 11 target greens, and an indoor hitting room with a V1 Professional Swing Analysis Computer System. A 10,000 square foot practice putting green and a short game practice area are also available. The fully remodeled clubhouse overlooks the entire golf course. Inside, the Dining Room Grill serves a varied short order menu and beverages, and the Pro Shop carries the latest golf apparel and equipment.
