Cedarwood Country Club

Cedarwood Country Club, a private 18-hole course in Charlotte, North Carolina, was designed by Ellis Maples and opened in 1964. In its opening month, the club hosted an exhibition featuring Arnold Palmer, Gary Player, Jack Nicklaus, and Bob Charles. The layout has since been ranked seventy-second in the state by the North Carolina Golf Panel. The course plays to par 71 and stretches to almost 7,000 yards from the Black Tees across rolling terrain lined with hardwoods, cedars, and ponds. Hole 3 is a par-three played over water, with a pond fronting the green. Hole 4 is a par-five that doglegs sharply to the right, with three bunkers guarding the turn. Golf Operations runs programs for beginners and accomplished players, including a junior golf program with three levels of coed camps and a girls-only camp. The Ron Green Grill Room offers casual dining at lunch and dinner, while the Cedarview Lounge provides panoramic views of the course. A Golf Shop is also on site.
