Carmel Country Club (South)

Carmel Country Club (South) is one of two championship 18-hole courses spread across 384 acres in Charlotte, North Carolina, each with its own distinct character. Redesigned between 2009 and 2011 by architect Rees Jones, the South Course plays 7,500 yards and takes a bold, modern approach that contrasts with its traditional counterpart. Bentgrass greens, Zoysia grass on fairways and tees, and Celebration Bermuda grass in the roughs give the course a carefully layered playing surface throughout. A new irrigation system runs the full length of the layout. Elevation shifts and deliberate sculpting shape every hole, ensuring the course presents a fresh challenge with each round.
