Carrickmines Golf Club

Carrickmines Golf Club is an 18-hole course set on a hill in Carrickmines, County Dublin, with panoramic views stretching across Dublin Bay, the Hill of Howth, Bray Head, and the 2-Rock and 3-Rock Mountains to the south-west. The Leadmines Chimney on a neighbouring hill adds a distinctive landmark to the southern outlook. The course retains areas of original heathland turf alongside an abundance of hawthorn trees, bracken, and gorse — features that have long made it a genuine test for golfers of all levels. The club's history runs deep. The original clubhouse, designed by Richard Orpen, was erected in 1901 but destroyed by fire in 1972. Its replacement, designed by club member George McCaw, has been the setting for many memorable occasions in the years since.
