The greens today were about as nice as I’ve seen them. The course is in great shape right now.

Carolina Lakes GC is a pretty challenging course even without an abundance of water hazards. The hilly terrain and the hard areas in the rough make you want to stay in the fairway -- and rightfully so. The greens are in great shape and offer predictable speeds even without a lot of putting practice. The staff are exceptionally friendly and helpful. Somewhat a limited pro shop. But it seems to work. Only thing more needed is some posted distances on the driving range so one can gauge how well they are hitting. But, that's only an opinion. Very nice course to play if you don't mind the SC July heat -- ergo: take/drink LOTS of water.
