Rated 4.4 by 70+ Hole19 golfers and one of the most-played courses in New South Wales on Hole19, Carnarvon Golf Club - New South Wales has been a fixture in Berala, Australia since 1927. The semi-private 18-hole, par-72 layout runs over a slightly undulating terrain with Kikuyu fairways, Poa grass greens, fairway mounds, bunkers, and water hazards. The opening three holes set the tone early. Hole 1 is a par-5 with a slight dogleg right and three sand traps flanking the landing zone. Hole 2 is the hardest on the course — a long par-4 with a blind tee shot to an off-camber fairway. Hole 3 is a par-3 with a large putting surface, a sand trap left, and a deep pot bunker short and right. The pro shop stocks Titleist, Callaway, PING, Cleveland/Srixon, FootJoy, Greg Norman, and Sporte Leisure gear, and is open seven days a week from 6am to 5:30pm. Golf lessons and teaching aids are available on site. The dining area looks out over the course.
