Carnalea Golf Club

Carnalea Golf Club is an 18-hole municipal links course in Bangor, Northern Ireland, open to all and sitting along the shores of Belfast Lough. The layout works with natural coastal terrain — uphill and downhill slopes, sea views across the Lough, and winds that shift throughout the round. The opening hole plays longer than its yardage due to swirling winds off the water, while the par-3 9th sits just below the clubhouse and looks out over the Lough. The course has been recognised as Ireland's best hidden gem and is one of the most-played courses in Northern Ireland on Hole19, rated 4.5 by 80+ Hole19 golfers. The clubhouse includes Courts Dining, led by owner-manager Paula Gregory and Head Chef Nicky Burch, with a focus on local produce. A fully stocked bar is open throughout the week and welcomes members and guests with panoramic views of the course and Belfast Lough. The Pro Shop is fully stocked, and the Ailsa Craig Suite on the second floor provides a private function space with a bar and balcony overlooking the 9th green.
