Designed by James Braid and opened in 1935, this private 18-hole parkland course in Bangor, Northern Ireland sits on undulating ground with views over Belfast Lough. Hole 5, the stroke index 1, bends right around overhanging trees. Hole 8 opens up views over Bangor and Belfast Lough. Hole 16, a par 5, plays from the top of the course to the bottom with views across the lough toward the Antrim Hills. The clubhouse includes a function room with bar facilities and a balcony, a large function room, a smaller function room, a Billiard Room, and locker and dressing rooms.

Charlie BrettAugust 22, 2023Course is very good but bunkers don't have that much sand and the floor under your feet can be quite wet if it rains for a bit can cause ball to be plugged but the greens are fantastic really difficult and fun overall good course just play when dry

Stuart KerrAugust 27, 2017Lovely course although very sloppy underfoot causing the ball to plug. Greens are outstanding. I will play this course again when dry. Also their is lots of half golf balls all over the course, a few blokes from the society got frustrated with that. So all in all a lovely course amazing greens I didn't go into any bunkers so cannot comment on them.
