Description
Cardross Golf Club is an 18-hole parkland course in Cardross, Scotland, founded in 1895 and shaped by design changes recommended by five-time Open Champion James Braid, implemented in 1921. Generous undulating fairways and large deciduous trees define the layout, and the course tends to play considerably longer than its yardage suggests. It has a notable competitive history, having hosted the 1992 Scottish Professional Championships — won by the then-future Open Champion Paul Lawrie. Situated less than 6 miles from Loch Lomond & Trossachs National Park, with views over the River Clyde and just 20 minutes from Glasgow Airport, Cardross is both accessible and well worth a place on any Scottish golfing itinerary.
