Candlewood Country Club

Candlewood Country Club, a private 18-hole layout in South Whittier, California, was designed by Harry Rainville and opened in 1953. The course plays across rolling fairways lined with groves of trees, water features, and colorful flowers. Hole 1 sets the tone early: a par-4 of 384 yards with a hard dog-leg left, fairway bunkers, and a lateral hazard. Practice facilities include a full-length driving range, a putting green, and a short-game area with practice bunkers and a chipping green. The club's Pro Shop is owned and managed by the club and carries clothing, apparel, and golf club technology. The Member's Dining Room overlooks the 9th and 18th greens.
