Description
Buena Vista Golf Course is an 18-hole public course in Kern County, California, situated about 20 miles west of Bakersfield near Dustin Acres. Owned and managed by the County of Kern Parks & Recreation Division, it is one of three courses under that umbrella. Designed by George Mifflin and opened in 1951, the course stretches 6,710 yards across hilly terrain. Golfers are treated to views of the Buena Vista Aquatic Recreation Area — two artificial lakes — along with surrounding farmland and mountains, giving the round a varied and scenic backdrop.

Michael FindleySeptember 02, 2023Haven’t played here in 25 years. All the old staff is gone but the course is in somewhat decent shape. Needs a little or a lot of TLC to bring it back to the course of old but the layout is great. Challenging. It was going to close but I’m hearing the County has provided a reprieve. Simple things like stocking the score card box and sweeping away the spider weds from them would help to change the perceptions.
