Rated 4.6 by 50+ Hole19 golfers, Bois d'Arlon Golf & Resort (Heathland) is one of the more highly regarded resort courses in the Walloon Region of Belgium. Designed by Stuart Hallett, this 18-hole heathland layout in Arlon is built on a sand base and shaped by broom, heather, and birch, with undulating greens and bunkers throughout the routing. Hole 5, a par 3, is singled out as a signature. Practice facilities are a real asset here. The driving range ranks among the largest in Belgium and is equipped with a Trackman Range. A putting green is also available, and the European Performance Stadium academy, run by Bart Bollen, runs sessions from 30-minute introductions to multi-day courses. Brasserie G, the resort's 150-seat restaurant on the first floor of the hotel, has large bay windows and a terrace overlooking the course. The Bar Lounge adjoins it, open from 11am to 11pm on weekdays and until midnight on weekends, serving beers and handcrafted cocktails. The Proshop, one floor below hotel reception, stocks equipment and clothing from Callaway, Lacoste, Under Armour, and Ogio.
