Bobby Jones Golf Club (Gillespie)

Bobby Jones Golf Club (Gillespie) is a municipal 18-hole course in Sarasota, Florida, designed by Donald Ross and opened in 1926. It holds Certified Audubon Cooperative Sanctuary status and has hosted the 51st Annual Sarasota City Championship. The practice setup is extensive. A driving range runs 240 yards wide and 60 yards deep on a premium Champion grass tee surface. A 25,000 sq. ft. Himalayan-style putting green includes a 12-hole putting contest layout. Three dedicated short-game greens are available, two with greenside bunkers. The Academy at Bobby Jones provides private lessons and junior programs with PGA instructors. The standalone clubhouse at the Gillespie Course stocks grab-and-go snacks, beverages, and draft and canned beer. A golf shop offers range ball sales and merchandise.
