Blackmoor Golf Club

The sloping 18th green at Blackmoor Golf Club gives a fitting finish to a Harry Colt design that opened in 1913 in Whitehill, England. Colt's layout runs across heathland terrain, with heather-lined fairways threading through pine, birch, and oak trees. Dog-legs, elevated greens, and bunkers add variety across the 18-hole, par-69 course, which plays to 6,170 yards. The club was among the 43 courses featured in the 2008 book Creating Classics - The Golf Courses of Harry Colt. Practice facilities include a large driving range with covered bays and an all-weather coaching facility, a putting green overlooking the course, a short game area between the 10th and 11th holes, and practice nets by the 1st and 10th tees. PGA Professional Adam Harnett and his team offer coaching for all ages and abilities. Inside the newly refurbished clubhouse, Colt's Restaurant is a 96-cover first-floor dining room with a private bar and food servery counter. Harry's Lounge Bar is open daily from 11am with a wide selection of wines, beers, and two guest beers on tap. A well-stocked Pro Shop is also on site. Blackmoor is semi-private access.
