Black Forest at Wilderness Valley (Wilderness Valley)

Black Forest at Wilderness Valley (Wilderness Valley) is an 18-hole course in Michigan, set among evergreens and hardwoods where whitetail deer, wild turkey, and the occasional badger share the landscape. The layout winds between ridges with gentle rolling terrain and a few dramatic elevation changes. Fairways look generous off the tee but narrow in prime landing areas, and several holes bend left or right, putting a real premium on accuracy. With resort-friendly rough and 45 bunkers, many greens can be reached by running the ball in rather than carrying it — a feature that players with a lower ball flight, including women and seniors, will especially appreciate.
