Description
Bishop Auckland Golf Club, a parkland course in County Durham, England, has been in play since 1894. The 18-hole, par-72 layout runs through tree-lined fairways with views across Wear Valley. Hole 7 is regarded by many as one of the best holes in the North of England. The club held the northern region inter-county ladies golf tournament in June 2013 and received the GolfMark/Clubmark award in 2012. Rated 4.5 by 50+ Hole19 golfers. Access is semi-private. The pro shop is fully equipped and run by professional Michael Pilgrim, who also offers coaching on site. The clubhouse includes a large dining room with views across Wear Valley and full catering facilities, a separate bar, two lounges, a snooker room with two full-size tables, and a ballroom seating up to 150 guests.

Brendan CampbellJune 29, 2025Fairways are generous and in pretty good condition. A tiring round in the heat.3 par 5s in succession followed by two parts 3s. An unusual mix but good lookin' holes. Greens were in good condition and not quite as fast as yesterday at durham city gc.
