Big Spring Country Club (Big Spring)

Rated one of the most-played courses in Kentucky on Hole19, Big Spring Country Club (Big Spring) is a private, 18-hole parkland layout in Louisville, Kentucky, designed by Rees Jones and opened in 1926. The course plays to 7,100 yards across rolling hills and deep valleys, with tree-lined fairways, undulating greens, and Beargrass Creek threading through the property. Rolling bluffs above the Ohio River add further character to the terrain. Hole 6 is a downhill par 3 whose green is divided into four distinct compartments. The club hosted the 1952 PGA Championship and has ranked as high as #2 in Golf Digest's Best in State Rankings for Kentucky. The 1926 Club restaurant serves both casual and upscale fare. The Wanamaker Bar is available for dining and cocktails, as is the Bunker Bar. Additional spaces include the Emerald Room, which seats up to 225 guests, the Spring Room, Family Grill, and men's and women's locker rooms with dry saunas and steam showers.
