As Barnham Broom’s flagship championship layout, The Pennink is widely recognised as Norfolk’s premium golf experience. The course carries a distinguished legacy, named after the late Frank Pennink, a pioneering British architect who first designed the original "Valley Course" when the club was founded by Colin Bothway in 1977. Defined by the winding River Yare, the design favours precision over power, utilising natural contours and tree-lined fairways to test every golfer. A true highlight is the demanding 416-yard, par-4 3rd hole, where the river cuts diagonally across the fairway to demand a pinpoint tee shot and a high-stakes approach.
