Azalea Sands Golf Club opened in 1972 in the heart of North Myrtle Beach, designed by architect Gene Hamm. It is one of the classic layouts on the Myrtle Beach golf scene and a popular round among Hole19 golfers in South Carolina. The course plays across an open layout that can deceive at first glance. From the tips it stretches to 6,902 yards, offering a genuine test for any level of golfer. The white tees bring it to 6,287 yards, the gold tees to 5,958 yards, and the red tees to 5,148 yards — a range that lets every golfer find the right fit. One of the few courses along the Grand Strand without homes adjoining the layout, Azalea Sands has built a reputation for delivering enjoyable golf across all ages and abilities across its 18 holes.

Thom CraverFebruary 25, 2025Great course, especially for the price. Late February, early morning, was able to get a round in just over 3 hours playing solo. Next day, I was paired with another single and we managed just over 4. Surprising for the length of the course. I presume this gets much longer as the peak seasons hit.
