Athens Country Club

Athens Country Club is a private 27-hole club in Athens, Georgia, United States, open since 1926. The course carries design credits from Donald Ross, George Cobb, and Ron Forse — a lineage spanning much of American golf architecture history. Hole 4 has its own footnote: Bobby Jones chipped in for an eagle there. The Golf Pro Shop is staffed by PGA Professionals and equipped with TrackMan and SAM PuttLab technology, alongside a broad selection of gear and apparel. A putting green also uses SAM PuttLab. Junior instruction runs through the OP36 program, with lessons available from age five. The clubhouse includes Mixed Grill or Fairway dining, with menus crafted by Executive Chef BJ Bracewell, and fully stocked bars serving cocktails, beers, and wines.
