Aston Wood Golf Club, in Shenstone, England, sits across gently rolling meadowland framed by copses of mature deciduous trees, lakes and ponds, and a meandering brook. Designed by Peter Alliss and Clive Clark and opened in 1995, the 18-hole layout has hosted MasterCard Tour events and County fixtures. Rated 4.7 by Hole19 golfers, it is one of the most-played courses in England on Hole19. Practice facilities include a 14-bay driving range — seven bays heated and ten equipped with Toptracer — a putting area, and a floodlit 40-metre pitching, chipping and bunker arena. PGA Teaching Professionals are available for lessons in an indoor teaching area. The Restaurant at Aston Wood serves breakfast, bar snacks and a full menu Tuesday to Saturday, 10am to 4pm, with a patio area overlooking the course. The Pro Shop carries an extensive range from Callaway, PING, TaylorMade, Titleist and others, and offers custom club fitting using Foresight Sports GC Quad technology.
