Aroostook Golf Course — whose name derives from a Creek Indian word meaning "good river" — is an 18-hole championship layout spread across more than 100 acres in Alabama, and it ranks as a popular round among Hole19 golfers in the state. The course plays to a par 72 at 6,900 yards from the back tees, carrying a PGA slope rating of 125 that places it firmly in championship class. Forty-one tee boxes allow golfers of all skill levels to find an appropriate challenge, ranging from tight, tree-lined holes with doglegs to more open, forgiving layouts. The greens are well bunkered with light, white coastal-style sand and carry a daily average STIMP rating of 10. Throughout the round, local wildlife, wooded surroundings, and scenic lakes add to the atmosphere.
