Apple Mountain Golf Resort

Apple Mountain Golf Resort, set in the Sierra Nevada foothills of California, plays 18 holes through pine, cedar, and madrone trees with snow-capped mountain views in the background. The layout has genuine variety in its terrain and green design. Hole 5 is a double dogleg par 5 that requires three shots to navigate. Hole 6 presents a fairway sloping left to right with an all-uphill second shot. Hole 12 features a green with a severe high-to-low point and sharp front-to-back contour. Practice facilities include a driving range open daily from sunrise to sunset (closed Wednesdays 11:30am–2:00pm for maintenance), a 12,000-square-foot putting green with practice from fairway lies, rough, and two bunkers, and a short game area of equal size. Teaching instructor James JD Ross is available for lessons. The pro shop carries equipment from Callaway, Srixon, TaylorMade, and Titleist alongside Apple Mountain branded apparel. The Apple Mountain Grille serves breakfast, lunch, sandwiches, salads, and beverages.
