Añoreta Golf opened in 1990, designed by José María Cañizares — a two-time World Cup winner and five-time European Tour champion. It holds the distinction of being the first course built in the Axarquía region, located in Torre de Benagalbón, Andalusia, just minutes from the Costa del Sol Airport, the Picasso Museum, and the Nerja Caves. The 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches 6,016 metres and is designed to suit all levels, from beginners to experienced players. Trees and water features appear throughout, creating variety across the round. Standout holes include the seventh, which offers sweeping sea views, and the par-3 seventeenth, played almost entirely over water. EXC CAugust 23, 2025Fun course to play - good variations and undulations. Cart paths lack repair / maintenance. Tee boxes are small and some are not flat at all. Lake / water features are not maintained thus not clean with overgrown algae. Green is well maintained. Food is great in the restaurant. Services are great.
