Description
Algonquin Golf Club, a private 18-hole links course in Glendale, Missouri, was designed by Tom Bendelow and opened in 1904. The layout stretches from 5,500 to 7,100 yards across terrain shaped by bunkers, water hazards, creeks, doglegs, elevated greens, and sloping fairways. Three holes stand out across the routing. Hole 4 is a par-5 that runs alongside the railroad tracks. Hole 11 is a classic Redan, playing 210 yards as a par-3. Hole 16 is the longest on the course at 552 yards, a par-5. The club hosted the 1950 St. Louis Open. The clubhouse includes the 19th Hole, a casual dining venue, the Poolside Bar, locker rooms, and the Clubhouse Living Room.
