Ale Golfklubb

Ale Golfklubb is an 18-hole course in Västra Götaland County, Sweden, set within a landscape shaped by thousands of years of natural and human history. Around 7,000 years ago, the Göta Älv valley was a large sea inlet, and the land has been cultivated farmland ever since. That heritage shows in the terrain: gently rolling hills with outcrops of rock, forest, and open valleys that the course routing follows closely. The open, historically tilled ground offers excellent natural drainage, and all the ponds and water hazards on the course are strategically positioned to collect runoff — serving both a practical and a visual purpose, while also adding strategic interest to play. Several protected ancient monuments lie within the course boundary. Fertile soil, effective drainage, and skilled greenkeeping staff allow Ale Golfklubb to maintain high-quality playing conditions throughout the entire golf season within the Gothenburg Golf District.
