Addington Court Golf Centre (Falconwood) is part of a site with a notable distinction: Addington Court was the first purpose-built public golf course in England. The Falconwood course, added in the mid-1970s, is a little more generous than its older counterpart on the same grounds. Sitting on the far side of the valley toward the top of the hill, it plays across more open ground, where the wind becomes a genuine factor in scoring.
