Acaya Golf & Spa Resort

Acaya Golf & Spa Resort is an 18-hole, Par 71 course stretching 6,192 metres through the natural landscape of Apulia, Italy, designed by the American firm Hurdzan/Fry. The layout winds through Mediterranean scrubland and ancient olive groves, with the design shaped closely around the natural contours of the terrain. Every hole demands a different shot, encouraging players to work through all fourteen clubs in the bag. Fairways are sown with American Bermuda grass, a dense seed variety that keeps the ball sitting cleanly above the surface. The rough features a blend of four fescue types left to grow at natural height. Greens are laid with two cultivars of Agrostis stolonifera palustris — A4 and A1 — producing a turf density roughly double that of standard Penncross, for a consistently true and fast putting surface. Rated 4.6 by Hole19 golfers, the course has earned strong praise from over 60 rounds logged on the platform.
