Golf Club Metaponto

Golf Club Metaponto is a resort course in Basilicata, Italy, opened in 2002 and designed by Marco Croze. The 18-hole, par-72 layout stretches 6,284 meters through citrus groves and olive trees, with water hazards and bunkers throughout the routing. Two holes stand out in the layout. Hole 7 is a par 5 of 450 meters with a large lake running alongside the fairway. Hole 14 is a par 4 dogleg right of 375 meters, where the second shot plays downhill to a green protected by a channel. The course has hosted the Italian Tessali Metaponto Open di Puglia e Basilicata. Practice facilities include a driving range with 20 + 30 positions, a putting green, a pitching and chipping area with a practice bunker, and a full academy offering individual and collective lessons, beginner courses, personalized programs, golf clinics, and on-course strategy lessons. The clubhouse restaurant serves Lucanian and Mediterranean cuisine using regional wines and produce from the property's farm. Accommodation on site includes four deluxe rooms and one suite.
