Zen Country Club

Zen Country Club, located in Kato, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, is an 18-hole course designed by Peter Thomson to make full use of the mountain terrain and natural surroundings. The layout is often described as tight and hilly, with significant elevation changes throughout. That said, roughly two-thirds of the holes play on relatively flat ground, and the long holes offer genuine distance. The remaining third presents more demanding tee shots — some with sharp elevation differences, others where the landing zone is difficult to read from the tee. The result is a course that rewards strategic thinking and careful club selection at every turn.
