Yumura Country Club

Yumura Country Club is an 18-hole course in Shinonsen, Hyogo Prefecture, Japan, designed to make full use of the natural landscape. Centuries-old red pine trees, some over 100 years old, separate each hole and give the layout a distinct character. The front nine plays shorter in distance but demands precision and strategy, with holes that require careful shot selection and technical skill. The back nine shifts to a more orthodox style, featuring longer par-4s that put a premium on a solid, controlled tee shot. All 18 holes are relatively flat throughout, making the course accessible to golfers of all levels. The design balances challenge with enjoyment, offering strong course architecture at a reasonable cost.
